As you might expect, Southern Virginia’s lush nature expanse means that nightlife isn’t high on the priority list here. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy yourself when the sun sets. Primland, located in Meadows of Dan off the Blue Ridge Parkway, offers evening activities to help pass the time. Head there to enjoy its wine dinners, Sierra Nevada tastings with local brews, fire pits for making s’mores, and music on the terrace by a local band on Friday evenings.

The region is also home to the Crooked Road Heritage Music Trail, where good live music isn’t hard to find. The town of Floyd hosts concerts at The Country Store on Friday evenings, Saturday afternoons and Sunday evenings. The store stays open late during concert nights, serving food like soup, sandwiches, ice cream and baked goods.
