Ojo de Liebre Spa

A water-centric oasis in Los Cabos
VERIFIED LUXURY

Designed in harmony with its seaside location, Solaz, A Luxury Collection Resort, Los Cabos’ Ojo de Liebre Spa is perched along more than 1,300 feet of beach along the Sea of Cortez. The 10,000-square-foot spa is a highlight of the property, boasting sleek marble and Mexican Huanacaxtle wood accents; 12 treatment rooms, including four VIP double treatment rooms; and the only thalassotherapy (a seawater-based circuit with a cryotherapy chamber) in the Baja desert. Plus, it offers four Olympic-sized pools done in signature “butterfly” green granite and an oversized gym filled with Technogym equipment.

The spa offers a range of massages, detox therapies, facials, health retreats, services for men and even special treatments for dogs and cats.

Post-treatment, stroll into the notable El Cabinet “Del Barco,” the on-property gallery featuring a 43-foot whale skeleton and historical map collection to reset the mind as well as the body.

Our Inspector's Highlights

  • Treatment rooms are oversized, several of which boast private saunas and steam showers, as well as outdoor rock garden relaxation areas. The Los Cabos spa unveiled four new VIP double treatment rooms in 2023.
  • Plan to stay all day, indulging in amenities like halotherapy (a Himalayan salt igloo, known for its detoxifying properties) and the aforementioned thalassotherapy.
  • Indulge in energy healing with authentic Ayurvedic services, including the deeply relaxing Shirodhara treatment, where continuously flowing oil to the shiro (head) soothes the nervous system and leaves you with a sense of relaxation better than any margarita or mezcal.
  • The hydrotherapy circuit (hot and cold plunge pools, Jacuzzis and more) make this a spa worth more than just a service — be sure to plan at least an hour before or after your stay to truly unwind.
  • Ojo de Liebre is the only spa in the region to boast thalassotherapy – a unique form of sea-based treatments where therapist use saltwater and seaweed for healing purposes. We’d suggest the seaweed body buff, which uses mineral-rich seaweed and VOYA seaweed massage oil to detox, exfoliate and purify skin.

Things to Know

  • Take time after your treatment to relax at the resort’s two green granite 50-meter infinity pools (part of five total public pools on the property) and marvel at the crashing waves of the Sea of Cortez below.
  • If staying on property, tap your personal artisan butler — one is dedicated to each room to help tailor stays to your preference, including selecting spa and wellness services ideal for your needs.
  • The resort grounds are as meditative as the spa itself. Stroll landscaping by Jeronimo Gabayet, who designed the grounds using only flora and fauna native to the Baja desert, meaning it has a sustainable desert vibe.
  • Have time to spare? Don’t miss the Elements of Baja, all-day experiences that offer add-ons like private boats, chef-prepared picnics, and of course, spa services featuring local ingredients like nopal (cactus), or pitahaya, a native yellow dragon fruit used in wraps and facials and known for its antioxidant properties.
