French chef Laurent Tourondel parlayed his love of food at an early age, attending Saint Vincent Ecole de Cuisine in Montlucon. That classic training forms the backbone of his contemporary French cuisine. After working under such notable chefs as Jacques Maximin at Restaurant Ledoyen in France, Tourondel took the executive chef post at C.T., Claude Troisgros' debut New York restaurant. Next came a stint as executive chef at Palace Court Restaurant at Caesars Palace, followed by his return to New York at Cello. When Cello closed its doors, Tourondel traveled around the world to further develop his cooking voice. He returned to the States to start his empire, which includes LT Burger, LT Signature and Arlington Club. As if that weren't enough to keep him busy, Tourondel helms Brasserie Ruhlmann in Manhattan and consults several BLT restaurants.
