Ralf Ohletz

The president of Regent Hotels & Resorts has been intrigued by the hospitality business from the beginning. After graduating from the School of Hotel Administration in Heidelberg, Germany, and attending Cornell University, Ralf Ohletz launched his hotel career with Hilton International in London. He went on to work at some of the most well-known hotels in the world, including Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong and The Pierre, A Taj Hotel, New York. Ohletz teamed up with Adrian Zecha, who was one of the original founders of Regent Hotels & Resorts as well as the founder of Aman Resorts, and Hans Jenni to form GHM (General Hotel Management) in 1992, and open some fantastic hotels, such as The Setai, Miami Beach and The Legian Bali. When Regent was acquired by FIH Regent Group in 2010, Ohletz was appointed president of Regent Hotels & Resorts.
