What are the beds like at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island?

Answers from Our Experts (1)

The beds at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island are posh and extremely comfortable bed. The king Sealy mattress on the wooden two-poster frame is part of the company’s The Ritz-Carlton Sleep Collection. It’s also topped with a comfortable Pacific Coast duck feather bed. If that’s not enough to entice you into taking a catnap following an afternoon on the beach, the luxurious white Frette sheets in a damask stripe pattern certainly will. As you rest your head, you’ll have a bounty of duck feather pillows to choose from, including three standard-sized ones and two oversized European pillows. A navy, brown and yellow floral pillow adds a decorative element to the setup while matching your room’s draperies, and the vermillion-and-white checked coverlet picks up the green and gold accent colors of your room. On either side of the bed are wooden nightstands where you’ll find lamps and clocks, plus a bottle of Ritz-Carlton branded water waiting for you following turndown service. Although we woke up several times during the night during our stay at the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel, it was because noise in the hotel and had nothing to do with the sumptuous bed.
