If your ideal vacation involves hard-core chilling out (i.e., not doing much of anything), you'll certainly be comfortable at The Little Nell — taking in the scenery is enough to keep you occupied, after all — but you'd be missing out on all the activities the hotel, and Aspen, has to offer. Aspen is a recreational mecca, and its residents are obsessed with staying active. To that end, the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star hotel has taken a cue from the locals with its Adventure Guides program, which leads outings like fly fishing, hiking a 14,000-foot peak (called a Fourteener in Colorado parlance) and mountain biking. In the winter, the hotel offers everything from heliskiing to private moonlit dinners atop Aspen Mountain, where you can indulge in outstanding farm-fresh food and sommelier-picked wines.
The Little Nell offers a variety of planned activities. In the summer, join our adventure concierge for a guided hike; or perhaps join the chef on a mushroom foraging adventure, followed by a dinner featuring the day's finds. Adventures and activities can be booked through the concierge or through the hotel's adventure shop, which is located near the pool. In the winter, The Little Nell offers a variety of snow-related activities from snowcat adventures to the First Tracks program, which allows guests exclusive access to the mountain before it officially opens for the day. The hotel also offers complimentary yoga several days a week in the winter at The Sundeck atop Aspen Mountain.
