The 2,000-square-foot Pfeifer Suite at The Little Nell is one of the hotel’s best rooms — just ask visiting stars like Kate Hudson, Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell. The two-bedroom suite can be enlarged to three or four bedrooms, with a private entrance to all rooms. The space features touches like a large living and entertaining area with a 42-inch LG LCD flat-screen TV, a Bose sound system with iPod docking station and music library, a desktop computer system, DVD players, Bluetooth wireless headphones and a fax machine. You can relax by the gas-log fireplace or in the oversize Jacuzzi tub, and serve yourself a drink from the full-service wet bar stocked with top-shelf liquor and an extensive wine collection. There are also two large balconies on either side of the suite that overlook Aspen Mountain — so close to the slopes you can practically touch the skiers.
Another option at the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star hotel is the lavish Paepcke Suite. It offers all the same amenities as the Pfeifer Suite, but it’s slightly bigger and has richer, more masculine décor (think wood-paneled walls that make you want to smoke cigars and chairs with studded upholstery).
All the rooms at The Little Nell are beautifully appointed; but if luxury is the name of the game, the Paepcke Suite is the best room to stay in. The Paepcke Suite is a 2,500-square-foot suite that is sumptuously decorated with rich maple-paneled walls and hardwood floors. It has an expansive balcony with panoramic vistas of Aspen Mountain, and it is decorated in warm mountain colors and soft tapestry rugs with fireplaces in the living room and bedroom. An ideal space for relaxing or elegant entertaining, the living room features a coffered ceiling, grand fireplace, premium full-service wet bar, dining table for six, vintage games, walk-in closet, an expansive office and state-of-the art media systems. The master bedroom is an alluring haven of privacy with a luxurious master bath and thoughtful attention to details throughout. In addition, it has the added perk of being entirely powered by its own array of solar panels.
