The Roaring Fork Transit Authority runs all of its buses out of the Ruby Park Bus Station located just a few blocks from The Little Nell on Durant Street. You can catch buses from there to anywhere in town and all points down valley, including Snowmass, Basalt, Carbondale and Glenwood. All in-town buses are free and during winter, the free skier shuttle operates between all four mountains, from downtown Aspen to Snowmass, Aspen Highlands and Buttermilk. Look for the “Free Skier Shuttle” signs posted at stops all over town. All bus routes begin and end at Ruby Park and operate until 2 a.m. during the winter and summer seasons.
Aspen offers a plethora of public transportation with the largest system of buses in the state, outside of Denver. You may travel via bus from the downtown station to Snowmass or the other nearby communities of Basalt, Carbondale and Glenwood Springs. Town routes are also available for free. However, guests of The Little Nell have no need for public transportation, our drivers will take you wherever you wish to go.
