Loews Atlanta Hotel

A sleek Midtown Atlanta skyscraper
VERIFIED LUXURY
Set in the midst of Midtown, Atlanta's trendiest enclave, Loews Atlanta Hotel fits right into the neighborhood, offering a spacious, contemporary and welcoming stay. And thanks to a $13 million makeover, the property has a sleek new sheen to it, too. The head-turning starts in the bright and airy lobby, which has a mix of comfortable couches and sleek armchairs for relaxing, before continuing on in the neighboring bar, the refreshed corridors and amply sized rooms, which feature new furniture, work from local artists and stunning views of the city from the floor-to-ceiling windows.

Our Inspector's Highlights
  • The Midtown hotel goes beyond aesthetics and caters to your every need. Want to bring your dog on vacation with you? No problem. Loews Atlanta has a room service menu just for pets.
  • The hotel’s Exhale spa beckons with services such as a deep-tissue massage or reflexology.
  • With 414 rooms (44 of which are suites), it’s safe to say that Loews Atlanta Hotel has just the right type of guest room to fit your needs. If you’re booking a superior or deluxe room, you’ll have your choice of two double beds or a king bed. If you’re opting out of a suite for your stay, we recommend you request a grand king room; with wraparound floor-to-ceiling windows occupying one full corner of the room, you’ll feel like the entire city is at the palm of your hands.
  • The hotel offers five levels of suites: grand, grand luxury, business, vice presidential and presidential. In addition to Loews’ signature world-class service, these suites offer extra space for entertaining and hosting your family, friends and business associates, plus upgraded features like a 50-inch flat-screen TV in the vice presidential and presidential suites, and a fax machine and copier in the business suite.
Things to Know
  • Loews Atlanta Hotel is located in the heart of Midtown Atlanta on Peachtree Street, an urban neighborhood that grants guests access to numerous attractions within a walkable area.
  • Leave the rental car in its parking spot during your stay; you won’t need it, since you’ll be so close to popular attractions like the Woodruff Arts Center, the High Museum of Art, Piedmont Park and more than 60 locally owned restaurants you won’t find in other cities.
  • If you’re on a business trip, use the meeting spaces on the 14th floor — there’s even an express private elevator you can take to access that area.
  • A state-of-the-art gym has touchscreen Star Trac treadmills and elliptical machines. The facility also offers a range of classes, including core fusion yoga, bootcamp and barre basic.
  • Loews Loves Families is a new initiative that lets moms, dads and children know that even though they're on vacation that they're still at home. From check-in (welcome activity books and crayons) and meal time (special kids menus) to just about every moment in between (complimentary cribs and night lights during your stay), families can rest easy knowing that everything is taken care of here.

The Rooms
  • Regardless of which re-imagined guest room you select, you can count on plush linens, an upholstered headboard, local art, a large, sturdy desk and modern luxuries like a Keurig coffee machine and Julien Farel toiletries in your bathroom.
  • Because of show-stopping floor-to-ceiling windows, you might be able to observe the metropolitan Southern city right from your room. The higher the floor, the better the views of Midtown, Downtown and Buckhead, three neighborhoods that are known for their culinary and cultural offerings.
  • Little touches like outlets located above (and not behind) bedroom nightstands make it easy to plug-in cell phones or laptops. Should you want to leave the room and lock your valuables away, the safe in the closet allows you to do that as well as charge your phones thanks to the outlet inside the safe.
The Restaurants
  • While the neighborhood is teeming with restaurants that you'll want to explore, start at the hotel's own Saltwood Charcuterie + Bar, the aptly named rustic eatery that's bursting with new flavors thanks to the recent hiring of veteran Atlanta toque Fabien Biraud as the hotel's executive chef.
  • Biraud and his team (including new chef Michael Manley) oversee a kitchen that delivers housemade charcuterie, just-plucked ingredients (the Saltwood Burger features local bibb lettuce) and other fun dishes (a delicious tuna tartare).
  • Saltwood is open for breakfast, brunch, lunch (the stellar salad bar is one of the city's most underrated afternoon treats) and dinner.
  • When it comes time to wash everything down, Ramsey Kashlan, Loews Atlanta Hotel's new director of outlets and bar program, offers a host of delightful pours that will happily get the job done. And while the draft beer list and wine menu are impressive, we highly recommend a Gold Line (Plantation pineapple rum, lemon juice, Chinese five spice syrup, benedictine and signature bitters) or one of the other creative cocktails.
