There are several dining options at Fairmont Beijing Hotel. Our favorite things to eat and drink while checked in here are:
1. Peking duck. Guests at the hotel should be sure to call ahead to Lunar 8 to reserve a half or whole Peking duck; it’s the restaurant’s specialty and a must-have in Beijing.
2. Jasmine Pearl. This signature cocktail at Champagne Bar uses house-made jasmine-infused vodka and fresh lime to create a tangy, sweet and oh-so-quaffable drink. Enjoy it with Chinese-inspired snacks served on the side, like Sichuan-spiced peanuts.
3. Sweet corn chowder. The creamy and comforting soup with pieces of smoked salmon mixed in is available on the room service menu and poured tableside by staff.
4. Steak at The Cut. The steakhouse on the second floor of the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel offers premium cuts of Australian and Canadian beef — high rollers can opt for the 7-ounce filet mignon of Wagyu steak served with foie gras, lobster brandade and black truffle.
