The interior design style of Club Oasis takes into account the spa’s sense of place thanks to Asian sculptural elements like Buddhas near the hot tubs and wood latticework on doorways, but the overall look of Grand Hyatt Beijing’s spa and health club is natural and neutrally pleasing. You’ll find a cream, beige and mauve color palette in the locker rooms along with lots of light stone and marble and dark wood furnishings. The treatment rooms, too, employ wood in their design to create a soothing space, but you’ll also discover unique touches like Chinese scroll paintings of the countryside. The spa’s emphasis on traditional and natural Chinese medicinal techniques also is incorporated in the entrance’s décor, with its layered stone walls, slate-colored flooring, potted orchids and greenery, and traditional sculptural elements. And although it looks a little incongruous compared to the look of the rest of the spa, don’t miss the over-the-top swimming pool. Surrounded by grottoes and faux foliage with waterfalls and tucked under a twinkling mood-lit ceiling, the pool is the closest way to experience the tropics during Beijing’s blustery winters.
