The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Beijing has a calming, modern design style that emphasizes natural elements and neutral colors. At reception, smooth beige marble flooring is lined with a perimeter of gray river rocks, and a glowing amber desk, white moth orchids and Chinese-style overhead lanterns accent the space. A long stone corridor wraps around a glass atrium that houses both the reception and a calming tea garden with wicker chairs. The 11 treatment suites and locker rooms are positioned off this corridor, the latter featuring wavy-patterned white-and-beige marble flooring and a lighted doorframe and three lighted steps leading the way to the Jacuzzi at one end, which glows blue from underwater lights. White moth orchids are displayed in a backlit shelf above a bed of river stones near the entrance of the locker room, and you’ll also find a gray marble vanity area and leather cushioned stools. Linen Roman blinds are used on the windows, while the sliding door to the relaxation lounge displays an intricate wooden carved pattern reminiscent of traditional Chinese motifs. The lounge and treatment rooms are warmer in tone, with polished wooden flooring, beige marble walls and displays of white orchids. The suites draw influence from imperial times, with gold silk upholstery and pillows on the sofa and a small gong on display.
