Guests heading for a treatment at The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Beijing are in for a treat as they enter the serene oasis on the sixth floor of the hotel, which features a tea garden just opposite reception. The spa check-in area sets a soothing tone with smooth beige stone flooring surrounded by beds of gray river rocks, a glowing amber reception desk, displays of white moth orchids and tall stalks of grass, and instrumental music in the background. Signature spa experiences begin with a traditional Chinese Gongfucha tea ceremony served in the tea garden, which is replete with cushioned wicker chairs, soft blankets and polished wooden floors. Water fixtures add ambient noise to the setting, while wooden slatted walls lend a plantation feel to the space. Guests are welcome to sit for a cuppa or a snack in the tea garden during their spa visits.
