The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Beijing

VERIFIED LUXURY
That feeling of being cocooned in an atmosphere of tranquility is something every spa aspires to offer, but few perfect. The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Beijing, however, has enlisted the very structure of its building to impart a luxuriant atmosphere of pure escape. A lush inner Tea Garden rests below a glass atrium an astonishing 23 floors above. The sun pours down, but the kinetic buzz of Beijing feels a world away, leaving patrons free to sip tea, unwind and contemplate a multifaceted program of wellness treatments.

Eleven treatment rooms include two VIP double suites with their own steam showers and tubs, four double treatment rooms and five singles, and the spa has its own sunlit pool and whirlpool with city views.

Our Inspector's Highlights
• With a dueling east-west philosophy, it makes sense that the Four Seasons spa allies French skincare brand Biologique Recherche with the onsite expertise of Dr. Lan Jirui, a leading expert on traditional Chinese medicine.

• The spa’s rejuvenating treatments combine both wellness and renewal rituals, drawing upon thousands of years of Chinese holistic wisdom with the very latest in skincare technology.

• An amenities counter in the separate relaxation lounges offers hot tea in a glass teapot on a steel burner, with dainty Jenaer glass teacups and burnished metal saucers alongside. The snacks range from fresh pears and apples to butter shortbread and chocolate biscuits.

• The treatment suites are cocoons of neutral tranquility, employing cream and tan shades to soothe and relax.

• The relaxation lounge is cozy in size and atmosphere, with polished wooden flooring, a refreshment table, two velvet-upholstered armchairs and two loungers covered in soft white terry cloth, allowing guests to kick their feet up and recline.

The Treatments

• Beginning with an instant skin assessment using a Biologique Recherche machine, the 75-minute BioMagic Intensive Brightening Facial is suitable for all skin types and uses customized serums and masks to visibly tighten the skin and render it more vibrant with vitamins and minerals.

• For the unfussy spa-goer, the Aromatherapy Massage begins with a soothing footbath that includes a green tea scrub before moving on to a full-body and head massage with a choice of three oil blends.

•  Lasting 90 minutes, the Green Tea Antioxidant Body Treatment begins with an organic green tea scrub and wrap, leaving the skin cleansed and moisturized. It also includes a 30-minute massage in any area the guest chooses.
