Planned activities are a specialty of Boston Harbor Hotel. You can book one of the hotel’s planned packages, which change seasonally and range from romance to family-friendly options, or you can book a regular room and work with the concierge to organize your activities once you arrive at the hotel. One thing to keep in mind: Boston, especially during the summer months, has a dizzying influx of tourists, meaning that the traditional “low season” is still very busy in the city.
That said, for activities that require special bookings like sports tickets, museum passes, boat excursions and reservations at top restaurants, you’ll want to give the hotel at least 24 hours notice. Most of the typical Boston tours (Duck Tour, Trolley Tours, etc.) can be booked on the day of, thanks to the many buses and trolleys available. More individual activities, including sunset harbor cruises and private boat excursions, will take a bit of extra time to plan.
