If you plan on taking the Amtrak to Four Seasons Hotel Boston, pack a few bucks for cab fare. There are two Amtrak stations in Boston: the South Station and Back Bay Station. You’ll want to take the Back Bay Station, which is closest, but you’ll still need to take a cab from the train to the hotel. A cab from the Back Bay Station should cost you about $5 plus tip; if you come from South Station instead, it’s about $10 plus tip. If you’ve caught the thrifty bug, you could use Boston’s public transportation system, the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA). It’s easy to use and very tourist-friendly. The MBTA station stops nearest Four Seasons Boston are the Green Line (any train) at Boylston stop or Arlington Street stop.
