424 Rooms / 38 Suites

InterContinental Boston sits on Boston’s waterfront, just steps from Faneuil Hall and the up-and-coming Seaport District. The 424-room hotel opened in 2006, giving Bostonians and guests access to a new luxury option on the water. In addition to the stunning view, InterContinental Boston has three different dining choices, a spa and health club, and expansive meeting space. All of the Italian marble and Texas limestone lining the lobby and hallways are certainly attractive qualities, too. In an effort to help boost its greener options, InterContinental Boston also established a beehive on its roof, allowing the production of fresh honey for the hotel’s dishes and cocktails.

The 22-story property also houses residences between the 14th and 21st floors and a revolving boutique on the lobby level, which features local designers and artists throughout the year. During the summer months, the hotel’s two-acre garden is a hot spot for Bostonians looking for a great place to enjoy the fresh air and sun. Get here early, though, as this is one of the few outdoor and on-the-water dining venues in Boston, so the place fills up quickly on pleasant days. During the winter months, you’ll find that the hotel shifts from a mostly leisure-travel guest roster to a more business-minded crowd, thanks in part to its easy access to Boston’s Financial District. Stop in to the hotel’s RumBa bar, located in the center of the lobby, for a rum-inspired cocktail, and take in the colorful Boston accents that descend on the place after 5p.m.
