Upon arrival at Mandarin Oriental, Boston, you’ll be given a small gold key. No, it’s unfortunately not for a secret passageway that only guests can access, but it does open your extensive mini bar. In each room you’ll find a wooden cabinet housing the content of the mini-bar: a fridge full of soda, water and white wine. If red wine is your thing, simply pull open a drawer on the left side of the cabinet to reveal a half-bottle and glasses. Below the wine, in another drawer, are the snacks: roasted cashews or a cranberry nut mix are some of the options from high-end grocer Dean & Deluca. Of course, there is also the requisite Snickers bar, bag of pretzels, and M&M’s.
