Mooo, the only restaurant at Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star XV Beacon, is a well-regarded steakhouse and a favorite with Boston locals. While you're here, don't miss the steaks, which are cooked to your liking and served with roasted garlic and bone-marrow butter. Our favorite is the eight-ounce filet mignon for $38, but big spenders and meat aficionados might consider splurging on the six-ounce Australian Kobe Sirloin for $100.
If you visit Mooo during the summer months, check the menu to see if soft shell crab is available. The kitchen staff does miraculous things with these small crustaceans, and if you're lucky enough to see it on the menu we strongly recommend you treat yourself to an order (or two).
As for side dishes at Mooo, we can’t get enough of the truffled parmesan fries for $12, but if you can’t decide on just one opt for the Mooo Side Flight, which in addition to the fries comes with whipped Yukon potatoes, exotic mushrooms and creamed spinach for $18 or $32.
