If you want to grab a drink and rub shoulders with a primarily college-aged crowd during your stay at XV Beacon, hop on the subway, take it one stop over to Boylston Street and head to The Alley, which has a string of lively bars that stay open late. Fans of the TV show Cheers can walk straight down Beacon Street to Cheers Boston, formerly The Bull & Finch Pub, where outside shots of the show’s bar were taken, while nearby Faneuil Hall offers a variety of pubs and restaurants (including a replica of the show's bar), many of which have outdoor seating during the spring and summer. Clubbers should seek out Felt, Royale, 6B Lounge and Mojitos Latin Lounge.
If you’re in the mood for a quieter, more sophisticated ambience — and perhaps a gourmet bite to pair with your drink — some of Boston’s finest restaurants and wine bars are also a short walk away from this Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel, including Four-Star No. 9 Park as well as Troquet and Mistral.
