There are three wonderful green spaces near XV Beacon, starting with 50-acre Boston Common, the oldest park in the United States and the site of public hangings until 1817. It’s located just one block away from this Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel, and also provides walk-through access to the Boston Public Gardens and the Commonwealth Avenue mall.
In addition to Boston Common, you can also take a 0.75-mile walk to the Esplanade, Boston’s open park area that stretches along the Charles River. If you’re staying at the hotel during the summer, be sure to check if any free concerts are being held while you’re here at the Esplanade’s Hatch Shell. The well-maintained, waterfront Christopher Columbus Park in Boston’s North End is also about a half-mile walk from the hotel.
