"Low-calorie" and "steakhouse" usually don’t go hand-in-hand, but Mooo does a great job of preparing sides and appetizers to fit a low-calorie diet. In addition to the house’s basic mesclun green salad, try the sushi-grade tuna tartare for a low-cal appetizer. Your meat entrée might not bow to low-cal requirements, but fish can be prepared without creams or butters for a leaner option. You can also order the sides without sauces. In the past, we’ve asked for the vegetable sides to be done with only olive oil (no butter or salt) and found the sides to be just as wonderful (if not better) without all the heaviness. Just let your server know if you want the low-calorie preparation of your dish and he’ll alert the kitchen.
