If you’re traveling from the north, take Interstate 93 South to Exit 24A/B. Stay in the right lane on the exit, following signs to Exit 24A (Government Center). Once you are on Exit 24A, stay in the right lane, and follow signs to the Financial District. The exit will end on Atlantic Avenue. Follow Atlantic Avenue to the third traffic light and make a right onto State Street. State Street will turn into Court Street. Bear left at end of Court Street onto Tremont Street. Go past Beacon Street on the right, and make your next right at next traffic light onto Park Street. Take Park Street to the end, and make a right onto Beacon Street. Continue one and one half blocks; Mooo will be on your left.
For those traveling from the south, take Route 3 North (Cape), 24 North (RI), 95 North (NY, CT) to Interstate 93 North. Take Exit 23 (Government Center/Aquarium) off 93 North. Stay in your left-hand lane and follow signs for Government Center. Go straight through one set of lights; Faneuil Hall will be on your left. At the second set of lights, turn left onto Congress Street. Turn right at the next set of lights (State Street). State Street turns into Court Street (City Hall will be on your right), and then turn left onto Tremont Street, which bends to the right. At Park Street, make a right (the Park Street Church will be on the right-hand corner and the Boston Common will be on your left). Follow Park Street straight up the hill toward the State House. At the end of Park Street, turn right onto Beacon Street. Mooo is about one block down on the left-hand side.
If you are traveling from the northwest, take Route 2 East into Cambridge. This will lead you to signs for Fresh Pond Parkway. This is a winding road. Follow signs for downtown Boston and Storrow Drive East. Take Storrow Drive for approximately five miles. Get off at the exit for Government Center and Cambridge Street. At the end of the ramp at the traffic light, turn right onto Charles Street. Follow it to the end and make a left onto Beacon Street. Continue on Beacon Street for about four blocks. Mooo will be on your left, just beyond the State House.
Mooo is conveniently located at the top of Beacon Hill, steps from Boston’s famed Massachusetts State House and Boston Common. The easiest way to get to the restaurant is via subway: Take the MBTA green or blue line to Government Center, or hop on the green or red line and get off at Park Street. Mooo is just a short five-minute walk from both stations. Cabs are also very familiar with Mooo — as well as XV Beacon, the hotel in which the restaurant is housed — but be aware that Beacon Street is a one-way street, so depending on where you’re traveling from, your cab might have to swing around the Boston Common in order to get you to the front steps of the restaurant.
