Wequassett Resort and Golf Club offers an array of family activities during the summer season, including swimming and tennis lessons, boat rentals and sailing lessons, cooking classes, children’s Beach Boot Camp, Circus-Circus nights, movie nights, fishing charters, clambakes and barbecues, as well as the daily programming offered at the Children’s Center. The resort also has an old-fashioned penny candy store, Good Humor ice cream truck, lemonade stand, children’s garden and Pillow Pet program — amenities that have been developed with families in mind.
Kids will love the activities at Wequassett Resort and Golf Club. During the summer, the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star resort caters to families, offering kid-specific events that keep everyone in the family happy while on vacation. “Dive-in” movie nights are held on the pool deck every Thursday starting at 8 p.m. The movie is always family friendly, and you can order food and snacks while wading in the pool during the flick. A ringmaster also arrives poolside every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m., creating a circus night that involves face painting, balloons and magic tricks.
Budding young chefs will enjoy the resort’s cooking classes, which include a culinary tour of the kitchen with one of the Wequassett chefs. Designed for ages 5 to 12, the cooking class includes reading recipes, kitchen safety and cooking your own treats. In addition, Wequassett offers swimming lessons, sailing lessons and boat rentals for kids and families from Nauti Jane’s boat dock. You’ll also want to check the activities calendar at the children’s center for weekly activities catered to kids and supervised by center staff.
