Boston’s South Station and Providence, Rhode Island’s train station are both about 90 miles from the resort. Both provide transportation from New York; however, this is not a common method of transportation to the resort.
If only there were a train station that could deposit you near Wequassett Resort and Golf Club. Development on and around Cape Cod is notoriously non-existent. Locals who make the trek into the Cape week to week would welcome a commuter train in; others don’t want to see their precious island become overrun and who can blame them. You’ll have to drive in plenty of traffic to get to Wequassett Resort and Golf Club and enjoy the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star resort in the glorious (and super busy) summer months. The only train on the island won’t get you from point A to point B but it will give you a bit of history. The Cape Cod Central Railroad is located in Hyannis (about 20 miles from the resort) and offers narrated rides of the Cape, pointing out sites and pieces of its history along the way, including the Great Salt Marsh, historic villages and legendary cranberry bogs.
