While The Peninsula Chicago doesn’t serve any designated signature breakfast items, there are plenty of standouts spread out on the menus at the various eateries within the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star hotel. If you go for a meal at The Lobby, the breakfast menu provides a bevy of tasty dishes, but we suggest either the traditional brioche French toast or the egg white frittata. Head down another level to Pierrot Gourmet, the charming corner restaurant on the ground floor of the Chicago hotel, to order one of the frittatas offered — we like the mushroom with leeks and Gruyère cheese. The Alsatian scrambled eggs — with potatoes, onions, ham, asparagus and Brie — aren’t to be missed, either.
Our egg white frittata and classic eggs benedict are some of our signature breakfast dishes, as well as the freshly baked bread available in both The Lobby and at Pierrot Gourmet. The pastrami corned beef hash served in The Lobby was selected by GQ Magazine as one of the 10 best breakfasts in the country. Pierrot Gourmet’s menu features a variety of European dishes available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Some of our breakfast items include vegetable and sausage frittatas, Scottish smoked salmon, Belgium waffles, a variety of fruits and oatmeal, and coffee, espresso and teas.
