The Peninsula Chicago has 339 guest rooms and suites spanning 20 floors. The hotel’s most recent renovation was in 2009, when all rooms and suites received aesthetic and electronic upgrades.
Within the 256 standard rooms, there are three categories; the superior rooms are the smallest of the guest rooms, but are in no way standard when it comes to luxury. With more than 530 square feet, these rooms are some of the largest in Chicago. The deluxe rooms are a step above the superior rooms, as they’re a bit bigger, and the grand deluxe rooms are the largest of the guestrooms, offering views of Michigan Avenue and the historic Water Tower.
The 83 suites at the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star hotel are broken up into six categories that range from one- to three-bedroom configurations. The executive suite is the smallest of the six, but still features a separate living room. Two of these suites can connect to create a two-bedroom suite that’s perfect for families. The junior suite features a living area and bedroom separated by French doors. These suites offer stellar views of Michigan Avenue, which explains why it’s the most popular category of suites.
The deluxe suite is a step above the junior suite and can have one king bed or two double bed, and deluxe suites can connect to create a perfect bridal suite. The grand deluxe suite, which overlooks Michigan Avenue, boasts one bedroom, 1.5 bathrooms and a separate living room that combine to spread more than 1,000 square feet. The grand suite flaunts two bedrooms with views of Chicago from three sides. Lastly, the Peninsula Suite is this Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star hotel’s answer to the presidential suite. Located on the 18th floor, this suite can be anywhere from one to three bedrooms, and there’s even an outdoor terrace that features a whirlpool.
No matter how many people are in your party, or how much space you need to feel comfortable, the guest rooms and suites at The Peninsula Chicago offers a variety of solutions for you accommodation needs.
