Throughout the year, Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago plays host to a whole slew of holiday events. One of the best takes place the weekend before Thanksgiving. The Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star hotel throws the Reindeer on the River event as part of the city’s Magnificent Mile Lights Festival. Real reindeer land at the hotel’s 1.2-acre river front plaza for the festivities. The luxury hotel serves seasonal treats like apple cider with cinnamon and whipped cream, hot chocolate with housemade marshmallows, roasted chestnuts and oatmeal-scotchie whoopie pies. Thanksgiving brunch and a late dinner are offered. There’s also a live turkey petting zoo and pilgrims to interact with guests.

Every December, the hotel's Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star restuarant, Sixteen, holds a Christmas Eve dinner. The holiday cheer continues on Christmas Day with special appearances by Santa and Mrs. Claus. For New Year’s, be sure to stop by Rebar and Sixteen, both of which select a different theme each year and decorate accordingly. There’s also a New Year’s Day brunch for those who didn’t party too hard the night before.

Come Easter, Sixteen brings bunnies, chicks and other farm animals in for the kids. The Easter Bunny visits the dining room for pictures, while the chef puts out a big brunch spread. Needless to say, the Chicago hotel knows how to celebrate the holidays.

Plus, the luxury hotel’s prime location next to Michigan Avenue puts you in a great spot to explore the various wintertime offerings along the Magnificent Mile. Kicking off the festivities in November, the Magnificent Mile Lights Festival marks the beginning of the holiday shopping along Michigan Avenue, and most shops have their holiday window displays up for you to enjoy. Or partake in the other seasonal happenings, such as ice skating at Millennium Park and the tree-lighting ceremony in Daley Plaza.

While Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago does not offer any complimentary events during the holiday season, there are certainly dozens of events happening on property for guests to partake in. The weekend before Thanksgiving, the hotel participates in Chicago’s famous Festival of Lights by hosting the Reindeer on the River event. Taking place on our 1.2-acre river plaza, the hotel has a live reindeer petting zoo available to the public. Guests can also enjoy hot cider and treats from executive pastry chef Sarah Kosikowski. Come back the following week for a family friendly Thanksgiving brunch and later a dinner that will delight everyone young and old.
