The closest jogging route to Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago is along Lake Michigan. It’s a beautiful spot to exercise during the warm-weather months and the best route for runners in the city. Jogging along the lakefront is a great way to get some fresh air and see the city from a new angle. Running along Lake Shore Drive, the northern part of the path goes through sprawling Lincoln Park, the central section travels through downtown and the southern portion winds past landmarks such as the Shedd Aquarium, Field Museum, Soldier Field and McCormick Place. Look inside your room’s desk drawer to find a laminated jogging map that shows the lakefront path and gives nine route options. Choose from a two-miler to Division Street at Oak Street Beach to an 11-miler at North and Lawrence avenues.
The lakefront is a popular spot for athletic enthusiasts, including cyclists and roller-bladers, so watch out if you decide to jog on the path. If you brave Chicago during the winter, it’s better to stick to the gym at the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star hotel, where you still have nice views of the city from the 12-foot floor-to-ceiling windows.

It is the perfect way to see the city’s skyline from all angles and get a true view of the incredible architecture that has made Chicago so famous.
In addition to the lakefront, there are plenty of other areas to move about. The jogging route that encircles the large Grant Park is a wonderful way to explore the historic park and fair grounds. Home to frequent festivals and concerts, it houses one of the country’s largest fountains, Buckingham Fountain. It’s a wonderful way to see this part of the city, as well.
All of these wonderful routes are easily accessible from the hotel. Our East Entrance will put joggers on the right path immediately. As the exit the hotel and head due east, they will have easy access to the entire city. To the north, you’ll run along Lake Michigan, the Gold Coast and Lincoln Park, while to the south you will find Grant Park and Buckingham Fountain, the Museum Campus, and Hyde Park.
