What is the gym like at Trump Chicago?

While the gym at Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago offers plenty of Technogym equipment for a good workout, the best part of the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star hotel's 14th-floor gym is its 12-foot floor-to-ceiling windows. Light floods in from the bank of windows, and you’ll get to gaze at the Chicago River and the skyline while you sweat on the elliptical or treadmill (much better than staring at a wall or the wall-mounted TV). Every piece of equipment in the main room faces the windows. Otherwise, the gym sports muted tan walls and gray carpet.

There are also two studios that host a number of group fitness classes; one of them is outfitted with TRX suspension equipment (the workout invented by the Navy SEALs) on the ceiling. There’s also a weight room — we spotted some ballers from the Portland Trail Blazers pumping iron in there when they were in town. After you’ve worked up a sweat, don’t forget to hydrate with the lemon-flavored water and fresh apples available, or grab a cup of freshly brewed coffee near the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star spa's check-in desk on your way out.
The locker rooms are well-equipped and spacious, with a steam room, sauna and state-of-the-art experience shower with a variety of choices for water pressure and light color from its nine showerheads. They have dark brown shuttered lockers the same gray striped carpet as the gym and tan textured wallpaper.

The 23,000-square-foot gym at Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago is primarily made up of the luxurious day spa, but a vital component is the 6,000-square-foot Health Club. On the hotel’s 14M floor facing southeast, the Health Club is like none other in Chicago. Using only state of the art equipment by Technogym, a workout is so much more here. With only one row of machines that line the window, every athlete will enjoy a picture perfect view of the city skyline as they run on the treadmill or elliptical. In the next room, spa goers will find the training-quality weight room. Multiple water stations stocked with fresh fruit and fruit-infused water, you need not travel far to refuel during your work out. Nearby guests will also see iced towels for their use, as well.

The Spa at Trump also offers many different group excise classes. Classes change often but include all levels of yoga, spin class, zumba, boxing and many other seasonal offerings. Some specialty classes have included the October pumpkin workout, romantic candlelight yoga in February and an early morning summer walking club.
