Chicago’s restaurant scene is second to none, and Waldorf Astoria Chicago is located in the middle of many of the city’s top eateries. For a classic Chicago dining experience head to Gibson’s on Rush Street — this steakhouse is often considered the best in the city (the large martinis are legendary in their own right). For deep-dish pizza, head to Giordano’s, Gino’s East, Lou Malnati's or Pizzeria Uno, all within walking distance of the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel.
The fine dining restaurants around the hotel are truly spectacular. Hit up Tru, L20 or Spiaggia for wonderful multi-course dinners. If you’re into celebrity chefs, take time to visit Art Smith’s Table Fifty-Two and Rick Bayless’ trio of restaurants Topolobampo, Frontera Grill, Xoco (all located next to each other).
Balsan, the hotel’s French bistro, is also an excellent choice — you’ll see a lot of locals at this casual-chic spot. The menu is featured around small plates and the cheese and charcuterie are consistently exceptional.
