If you drive to Alinea, you have the options of valet, garage or street parking. Valet, which only costs $11, is highly recommended; the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star restaurant sits squarely in one of Chicago’s trendiest neighborhoods, Lincoln Park, and much of the street parking there is reserved for residents. Even if you manage to score a spot on the street, you’ll have to feed your meter every two hours during dinner, which can easily last between three and four hours.
Otherwise, because of its proximity to several popular theaters, there are a few nearby parking garages. You’ll find a lot at North Avenue and Halsted Street that charges about $12 for up to three hours and $16 for more than three hours, which are fairly reasonable parking prices in Chicago.
