What is the waiting area like at The Peninsula Spa Chicago?

A small waiting area and check-in desk at The Peninsula Spa Chicago greets you after you step out of the elevator on the 20th floor of The Peninsula Chicago. Take a seat on the striped sofa and sip on a cup of steaming green tea while filling out your arrival card. Like the rest of the spa, the waiting area is fashioned with natural elements, including a dark-wood plank wall behind the reception desk and a slate-colored stone table next to the loveseat. You won’t spend much time in the waiting area, save for your arrival and departure, since the relaxation lounge in this Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star spa offers better seating and more comfortable lounging options. You’ll also notice that the hotel’s fitness center is adjacent to the waiting area, and if you’ve booked two or more hours’ worth of treatments, it’s available for your use, too.  Don’t worry if you didn’t bring any workout clothes; a small selection of fitness gear is available for immediate purchase.

It is recommended that guests arrive at least 15 minutes prior to their appointment time. Prior to any service guests are invited to relax in one of our soothing and calming relaxation areas. The first relaxation area has four inviting chaise lounges and a fire element to assist in relaxing and soothing you before your treatment. The second relaxation area has comfortable seating overlooking the pool and can be the perfect spot to relax and read a magazine or newspaper.
