What restaurants at The Broadmoor are best for families with children?

Answers from Our Experts (2)

Every restaurant at The Broadmoor, including the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Penrose Room, offers kids’ menus, but some are more appropriate than others when it comes to the young and restless set.
With its old-time atmosphere and easygoing pub grub (who doesn’t love chicken pot pie and hot fudge sundaes?), The Golden Bee is sure to be a blast for tots — until 8 p.m., that is, when a 21-plus age policy goes into effect. Kids also dig La Taverne’s lush, plant-filled atrium (even if it’s no longer home, as it indeed once was, to flamingoes), whose kitchen whips up burgers and pizza as well as grilled chops. The Golf Club Dining Room is especially family-friendly, what with a fire pit on the terrace for s’mores-making sessions. Finally, the Colorado Springs hotel’s many cafés, scattered indoors and out across the property, are also casual no-brainers for families on the go.
