Downtown Dallas' modern marvel

160 Rooms / 32 Suites

The Joule sits in the heart of downtown Dallas’ business district, and with its two-year renovation and expansion completed, it is even more of a zephyr of vibrancy for the area. The main building of the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel occupies a historic structure and distinguishes itself from other façades by its striking swimming pool cantilevered eight feet to overlook Main Street. Original marble flooring, elevators and historic staircases were combined with famed designer Adam Tihany’s contemporary aesthetic, casting a sophisticated and luxurious light through the property.

The entry was expanded through to Commerce Street, giving way to a huge and inviting lobby and lounge, a Taschen store full of art tomes, a small bar serving craft cocktails, Weekend coffee shop and Tenoversix gift and apparel shop. From there, the experience only gets better as the corridor to the new addition is lined with artwork recessed into the walls. The new tower boasts additional guestrooms, penthouses and abundant banquet space. No two rooms are the same, creating a unique experience for each guest of the hotel. The rooftop space is the perfect reception area, complete with street access via a private glass elevator. Another noteworthy addition to the property is the two-floor ESPA. The oasis is an earthy retreat with crystals, metals, stones, atmospheric lighting and the latest in spa technology — and it’s the only ESPA in Texas. Further additions to The Joule experience include the Traffic LA boutique segmented into men’s, women’s and kids’ apparel. The space is filled with edgy fashions and accessories from indie designers and others familiar to those in the know.
