Four Seasons Hotel Hangzhou at West Lake is located in Hangzhou’s West Lake historic district, a stone’s throw from the lake itself. To walk to the lake is five minutes; it’s about 30 minutes to the Lingyin Temple complex, where you can see Buddhas carved into limestone grottoes. The lake is one of Hangzhou’s most popular tourist attractions, a two-mile wide body of water surrounded by weeping willows and dotted with pagodas. There are several restaurants within walking distance, and the hotel has complimentary bicycles that you can ride to a pedestrian street lined with restaurants and shops that’s only 15 minutes away. You can cycle the fill circumference of the lake in about 35 minutes. The luxury hotel is also about 35 minutes from Hangzhou Railway Station, where trains to and from Shanghai depart and arrive.
