Lung King Heen at the Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong is, quite simply, among the very best Cantonese restaurants in the city and, by extension, the world.
Located on the fourth floor of the hotel, Lung King Heen offers Victoria Harbour views from a dining room full of understated luxury and clean lines, with lustrous dark wood flooring, pristine white linens, and deep red columns. It feels both modern and classic.
The same could be said about Chan Yan Tak’s artfully presented food, which deftly balances contemporary influences with unwavering respect for tradition. Seafood figures prominently, along with delicacies such as bird’s nest and abalone, but meat and poultry (including a sublime roast chicken) are treated with aplomb, too. Perhaps it goes without saying that this is a fantastic place to experience two of the region’s great glories: barbecue and dim sum.
The Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star restaurant’s reputation means that reservations are scarce. So book well in advance, especially if you want one of those window seats … and you’ll definitely want one of those window seats.
