Nobu Hotel Ibiza Bay

Waterside luxury meets breezy beach life
VERIFIED LUXURY

Overlooking Talamanca Bay, Nobu Hotel Ibiza Bay is a haven for foodies. The culinary offerings run the gamut, including celebrity chef Nobu Matsuhisa's fine-dining restaurant, top-notch Andalusian chef Dani García's Ibizan concept and a casual dinner spot by the water with your feet nestled in the sand. Anything goes at this laidback yet elegant property.

But there’s much more to Nobu Hotel Ibiza Bay than its restaurants. Unwind in the onsite Six Senses spa or get gussied up at the John Frieda salon. Partake in activities like guided hikes, e-foiling (silent motorized surfing), sunset meditations and sound baths, cliff jumping, e-bike tours and more. Or opt to lazily lounge in the two outdoor seafront pools. It’s also a prime place to do some exploring. The property opens up onto the beach, and from there it's just a short walk to Marina Botafoch and Ibiza’s old town.

Our Inspector's Highlights

  • Inside each of the 152 rooms and suites, it feels like an island getaway with soft white and gray hues accented with pops of teal, dark blue and warm golden wood. Check out the art around your suite — most of the pieces are locally sourced from Ibiza.
  • The pristine outdoor pool is the best place to let it all go. It overlooks Talamanca Bay, layering calming blue on serene blue under a clear azure sky. The surrounding large lounge beds are a great place to sip a green juice or glass of wine, and nosh on a sushi roll or a platter of fresh fruit.
  • If you need to unwind, leave it to the wellness experts at the Six Senses-run spa. The Zen massage promises to eliminate all your stress with long, firm movements, marma therapy and chakra balancing.
  • The bathrooms are lined with Persian marble. Not only does this feature add to the refined luxury of the space, but there's also a rain shower, Natura Bissé amenities and double sinks. Some suites include a deep soaking tub as well.
  • Book a select junior suite to get a plunge pool in a secluded, landscaped terrace attached to the accommodation. There's even a two-person lounging bed outside that encourages even more relaxation.

The Restaurants

  • As the name of the hotel suggests, this property hosts world-renowned chef Matsuhisa Nobu's signature Japanese restaurant, Nobu. It's an absolute must-try for the sushi alone. Not that there is only raw fish on the menu — try the delicate and rich wagyu beef tacos, kushiyaki skewers and lobster salad. Or go all out with the omakase, a tasting menu with five- or seven-course options.
  • Nobu isn't the only notable chef at the Ibiza hotel. Dani García runs Bibo, a Mediterranean-Spanish restaurant featuring local ingredients and fresh flavors. The light and breezy eatery has a raw bar with oysters and ceviche, Andalusian fried sea bass and ham croquettes, and an array of chargrilled fish and lobster.
  • Head to the beach for a casual, but no less delicious meal at Chambao, the outdoor chiringuito (or “beach bar”). This spot is best for lunch or an early dinner. As you look out toward the sea, dine on the catch of the day, Valencia-style paella, fresh salads, pizzas and more. The cocktail menu is worth checking out, as is the wine list.
  • For lighter fare, the Bay Café is the place to go for vegan, lactose-free, gluten-free and sugar-free bites. It's also where to indulge in a casual cocktail or a zero-proof drink — it’s full of comfortable wicker chairs and simple wooden tables and feels as bright and fresh as the food and drink.
