Wedged between Montego Bay’s verdant hills and the Caribbean Sea, Half Moon has long been an old Caribbean escape for the rich and famous, including John F. When Eclipse opened in 2020, it ushered in an even more luxurious getaway with all the modern amenities, like a beachfront infinity-edge pool and the new Fern Tree – a Salamander Spa. But it still infuses Jamaica into the experience. Eclipse showcases locally made art and vintage Half Moon photography from the family that owns the resort. And the tropical landscape is also on display — glimpse the sea from each of the hotel’s 57 accommodations and the overwater spa treatment rooms.

The waterfront infinity pool is the central gathering spot of the boutique hotel. Go there to soak up the sun and reggae and calypso beats.

Half Moon is made up of three resorts: Eclipse, Rose Hall Villas and Founders Cove. Although they share the 400 acres, each one feels like its own little world.
Partake in snorkeling, kayaking, sailing, parasailing, water-skiing, tubing, wakeboarding, stand-up paddle boarding and more at the water sports center.
Bring little ones to Anancy Children’s Village at Half Moon, where they can join in organized activities overseen by counselors and nannies.

The Rooms

Each accommodation offers a slightly different view of the breathtaking Montego Bay area.
Every room comes with a spacious, furnished balcony or patio where you can watch the sun rise and set over the water.
