Things to Know
- The island of San Clemente is a mere 10 minutes from the hot spots of San Marco, and he hotel offers a complimentary shuttle that leaves every 30 minutes to get you closer to the action.
- The private island isn’t accessible via the vaporetto (public ferry) or other public transportation. If you miss the hotel’s own shuttle, you’ll have to hire a water taxi. Or bring your own boat and moor it at San Clemente Palace’s private dock.
- The luxury hotel opens seasonally, from late March to early November, so plan accordingly.
The Rooms
- The luxe rooms — bedecked with terrazzo floors, rich fabrics and drapes, and the ever-present Murano glass chandeliers — are all plush, but you’ll definitely want to book one with a lagoon view.
