- We can’t even compare your average hotel gym to the fitness center at The Houstonian. As a private club for much of the city of Houston, it offers a 175,000-square-foot fitness wonderland and is consistently ranked as one the top facilites in the nation.
- Just steps from the lobby is the hotel’s Trellis Spa. With 21 treatment rooms and a full salon, it's the largest luxury spa in the state.
- From the rustic fireplace in the lobby to the mahogany-accented walls, the décor pays homage to all things Texan. While at first the lobby atrium of this luxury hotel feels a bit like a hunting lodge, you’ll quickly appreciate the easy elegance in the overstuffed sofas and the regal staircase.
- It’s hard to beat the Houston heat without taking a dip in the pool. The Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel takes advantage of the lush, wooded surroundings by featuring not one but three pristine outdoor options: a top-notch lap pool complete with anti-wave lane lines, a resort pool boasting a 32-foot slide through the rock-scape and a tranquil therapeutic garden pool.
- Hidden from the hectic life of the country’s fourth-largest city, The Houstonian certainly feels like it is in a remote location. That’s the beauty of this resort; it feels a million miles away, but in reality you are less than a mile from the 610 Loop, minutes from the shopping mecca The Galleria and a short drive from Houston’s financial district.

- The hotel is not too far from The Galleria shopping mall and neighborhoods teeming with dining, entertainment and shopping. Make use of the hotel’s complimentary shuttle that can take you to various places nearby by calling the front desk or stopping by the concierge desk to get the schedule and make an appointment.
The Rooms
- The newly renovated guest rooms at The Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa are light-filled and spacious. The elegant interior design features a palette of blues, creams and gold with crown molding and floor-to-ceiling windows.
- When we stayed, our room looked out to the woods, offering a scenic vista and privacy.
- You’ll find a plush bed, a flat-screen TV, a wireless Qi power charging cube, a mini-fridge, a Keurig coffee maker, a desk, complimentary Wi-Fi as well as plump sofas and chair and ottoman combinations. Slip into a luxurious microfiber robe lined with terry velour and slippers.
- The expanded bathrooms come with wood flooring, brushed nickel fixtures, in-mirror lighting, granite vanities and marble walk-in showers with soaker shower heads and Bulgari amenities.
- At the end of the day, sink to the king-sized pillows and cool gel-top mattress with crisp cotton/modal sheeting — a moisture-wicking blend for a better night's sleep.

- Sleek hardwood floors, paneled walls and dark, rich rugs and carpeting give the public areas of the Houston hotel a warm and woodsy feeling.
