The guest rooms at The Houstonian Hotel, Club and Spa are spacious and feature a comfortable sitting area as well as a comfortable sleeping area. The interior design inside the rooms is traditional. They feature white paneled walls with crown molding and floor-to-ceilings windows. When we stayed, our room looked out to the woods offering a scenic view and privacy. You’ll find a plush bed with a flat-screen TV, an iHome iPod dock, a mini-bar packed with snacks and beverages, a work desk with a Wi-Fi connection as well as a small sofa and ottoman. The bathroom is on the smaller side but it will be packed with L’Occitane-branded amenities and will have a dark granite countertop.
You’ll find neutral colors throughout the room with a burgundy floral carpeting, heavy floral upholstery, gold, green and brown colors, dark wooden furnishing. The cream duvet on the bed provides contrast to the dark colors as does a red blanket at the bottom. Plush, king-sized pillows top the bed. Since the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel is set within the woods, you’ll find guest rooms feature a lot of privacy.
