The American Club offers a variety of in-house dining options — including fine dining at The Immigrant Restaurant, wine-and-cheese-centered Winery Bar, the lively, casual Horse & Plow pub and top brunch spot the Wisconsin Room — without leaving the hotel’s building. Further afield on resort grounds, you’ll find Cucina at the Shops on Woodlake, offering fine Italian dining with views of Wood Lake. But if you care to venture beyond The American Club Resort’s grounds to Sheboygan, the Margaux offers small plates, ample wine offerings and locally-sourced, carefully-prepared modern bistro fare such as the Maple Leaf Farms Duck Breast with soba noodles, baby bok choy, miso broth and shitake mushrooms. Right on the Sheboygan River, Lino Ristorante Italiano in Sheboygan’s South Pier District Sheboygan offers incredible views of the water, along with authentic Italian fare such as the Gnocchi Sorrentina with basil and fresh mozzarella in fresh tomato sauce. Trattoria Stefano, run by Stefano Viglietti who operates three other restaurants downtown, was featured in Food & Wine and serves Italian delights such as a veal rib chop stuffed with prosciutto.
