The Immigrant Restaurant doesn’t have any special views, or even any windows—and that’s part of its appeal. The Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star restaurant is underground, and you have to go through dimly lit corridors to get to it. It’s an intimate, cozy and romantic spot if you want it to be (the restaurant sees its fair share of marriage proposals). The interior also provides plenty of interest. The restaurant is made up of six ethnically themed rooms—French, Norman, German, English, Danish and Dutch—each of which is uniquely decorated with antique furniture, paintings and collectibles. Each room is a nod to one of the six main groups of immigrant workers who helped build Kohler in the company’s early years.
