More than 40 million people around the world have seen the Italian-Belgian theater director Franco Dragone’s work. He is famous for his work with Cirque du Soleil. From 1985 to 1998, he directed almost all of Cirque du Soleil’s most prestigious shows and helped develop the way the group combines circus performances with live theater. He was a key member of bringing Nouvelle Experience and Saltimbanco to life and then directed the cutting-edge Mystere at Treasure Island in Las Vegas. He also directed the celebrated O in Las Vegas and Cirque du Soleil’s first motion picture, Alegria – An Enchanting Fable. Dragone also created the live show A New Day starring Celine Dion at Caesar’s Palace. In 2005, he debuted Le Rêve.
