One thing we really love about Skylofts at MGM Grand is that you don’t have to sacrifice taste or elegance when it comes to room service. We test every aspect of room service at each of the hotels we visit and Skylofts always hits the Five-Star mark. The in-room dining menu at Skylofts is available 24 hours a day and includes many delicious options for dinner. Though there aren’t official signature dishes, the most popular entrees are the 8-ounce dry-aged prime beef tenderloin with bordelaise, roasted fingerling potatoes with rosemary, charred broccolini with garlic and shallots, as well as the juicy 10-ounce pan-roasted chicken breast with citrus confit and basil, lemon-scented Moroccan couscous and sautéed Blue Lake beans with tomato confit.
A unique aspect of in-room dining at this Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star hotel is that you can order from the specialty restaurants at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino, including Craftsteak (American), FiAmma (Italian), Pearl (Chinese) and Shibuya (Japanese). Keep in mind it takes longer for food to arrive when you order from the restaurants, but each serves excellent dinner dishes that are worth the wait.
If you save enough room after dinner, go for one of the signature desserts, like “The Sunset,” angel food cake with fresh seasonal berries, sautéed caramel peaches and mixed berry sorbet, finished with fresh whipped cream. For a boozy bite, try the flambé with lemon pound cake, banana rum flambé, Tahitian vanilla ice cream and gianduja chocolate. Either will make you happy that you opted to stay in for the night.
