While we think Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Skylofts at MGM Grand does an excellent job accommodating guests year-round, you may want to consider visiting Las Vegas when the temperatures are more moderate and the pool is open at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino.
Daily highs in Las Vegas during July and August often reach 100 degrees, which may be uncomfortable if you’re traveling with children, like to golf or plan to walk the Strip during the day. Skylofts doesn’t have a private pool, but guests who want to swim have complimentary access to the vast and varied MGM Grand Pool Complex. The high season for pool-hopping is from February to November, and more of the pools are open during that time. However, don’t worry if your vacation falls outside of that time frame; the Las Vegas hotel keeps at least one pool available year round to help you escape that scorching sun.
