Canyon Ranch Spa & Fitness

Las Vegas' sprawling spa oasis
VERIFIED LUXURY
Just a few floors above the flashing lights and dinging machines on the casino floors of The Venetian Resort Las Vegas and The Palazzo at the Venetian Resort Las Vegas, Canyon Ranch Spa & Fitness envelops you with calm.

That’s not a simple feat for one of the world’s largest spas. The sprawling 134,000-square-foot facility is a maze of hallways that leads you to its must-try Aquavana hydrothermal circuit, a salt grotto, a 40-foot climbing wall, two restaurants, a pair of boutiques, 90-plus treatment rooms, two gyms and much more. The expansive offerings make it easy to while away the entire day at the spa.

While you’ll find a full menu of massages, facials and other traditional treatments, Canyon Ranch takes a multi-pronged approach to wellness. It bolsters your experience with exercise physiology sessions, fitness classes, acupuncture and nutrition planning.

You’ll get a great Vegas detox at the luxury spa. In fact, spend a day here and you will leave Sin City more rejuvenated than when you arrived.

Our Inspector's Highlights
  • The hydrothermal facilities alone are worth a visit. Spend hours indulging in everything from a crystal steam room to an igloo.
  • One of our favorite spots in the Las Vegas spa is the laconium, where you can perch in a mosaic-tiled alcove and breathe in the herbal-infused steam.
  • Don’t miss the dark, inviting wave room. Sit in black cushy loungers that tilt up to the dome ceiling and watch wave projections set to a peaceful ocean soundtrack.
  • You can’t go wrong with the signature full-body Canyon Ranch massage. The customized service relieves muscle tension and promotes relaxation.
  • Treatments give you access to the Aquavana hydrothermal circuit along with fitness classes, including kinesis, Pilates and rock-wall climbing.
Things to Know
  • If you can’t snag a spa appointment, buy a SpaClub Day Passport so that you can use the excellent Aquavana hydrothermal facilities all day long.
  • Instead of the cozy same-sex relaxation rooms, ask about the coed conservatory to unwind in a spacious lounge with chic design.
  • It can be tricky to find this Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star spa, since it has two entrances: In The Venetian, it’s on the fourth floor, and in The Palazzo, it’s accessible on the third.
  • Does gambling stress you out? Arrange for a chair massage in The Venetian’s poker room.
  • Canyon Ranch runs great seasonal deals, whether you’re there for a girlfriends’ getaway or are a local. Inquire about any specials.
The Treatments
  • Try the Japanese ashiatsu to penetrate deep sore spots. Your therapist will grasp onto overhead bars while massaging you with her bare feet.
  • The signature Mango Sugar Glo body scrub uses fruit infusions to moisturize dry, sensitive skin, giving you a healthy glow — along with a great scent.
  • Couples should opt for the Rasul Ceremony, where you and a partner will slather each other with purifying mud in a private tiled steam chamber with starry lights.
  • To have a complexion that glows like gold, get the nourishing 18k Facial. A gold mask brightens and restores your skin.
  • The onsite Canyon Ranch Healthy Feet center specializes in gait analysis and foot and lower-leg massages in relaxing zero-gravity chairs.
The Facilities
  • Retreat to the salt grotto to lean back on the heated stone seats and relax. The salty air is supposed to help with everything from respiratory issues to jet lag.
  • Give the experiential showers a whirl. We enjoyed the refreshing light patter of the tropical rain setting.
  • Men will want to test out the TV-equipped barber suite, while brides should bring their wedding party to the bridal suite to primp for the big day.
  • Shop the Spa Treatment Boutique for products from harder-to-find labels like Pure Fiji, Luzern, Lalicious and Éminence.
