Nemacolin Woodlands Resort is a particularly popular choice for couples interested in intimate destination weddings, though weddings are generally held in the Horizon Point event space next door to Falling Rock at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort, as opposed to within the hotel itself.
Opened in 2005, Horizon Point takes its modern design and décor cues from the same earth tones and artistic usage of natural materials that characterize Falling Rock. This large meeting and conference venue has two ballrooms, the largest being the 3,640-square-foot Quartz Room, which features wonderful views of the scenic Laurel Highlands through tall floor-to-ceiling windows. The adjoining Mica Room is separated by glass and wood sliding doors and can accommodate up to 234 more people. Outdoor ceremonies and receptions are often held on the terrace, which overlooks the resort’s immaculate golf greens.
Though Horizon Point is probably the most popular wedding venue at this resort, there are several other locations available, including two more traditional ballrooms inside The Lodge and Chateau Lafayette in the center of the resort, a small chapel and the Lafayette Gardens.
