Provencher indulged her passion for inventive desserts when she founded her own specialty catering business specializing in designer cupcakes. As captain of the West Virginia State Champion Culinary team and a student at Pierpont Culinary Academy in Fairmont, W. Va., Provencher completed her pastry and baking practicum at New Day Bakery in Morgantown, W. Va., and at Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Lautrec. She graduated in the spring of 2012.
